Well well well... Filling again this bloody empty gallery XD

So let's start with Raoul de Bragelonne, who is one of my most beloved characters in all time. This drawing is a bit strange, because it is a fanart of Dumas' for sure, but it is also a fanart of mine... I'm not really an artist but more a writer, and my next project after finnishing my novel "Miroir" (stuff about it coming soon XD) is to rewrite "Le Vicomte de Bragelonne" by Dumas.

Who said I was a pretty shitty pretentious girl ? XD

The whole Musketeers trilogy by Dumas is a monument : each book has a meaning, and all three can not be "separated" from each others (my own opinion, of course). There is the story of four men during a threshold moment in History : the passage from Louis XIII to Louis XIV, who doesn't allow french aristocracy to keep his own values anymore. So by this way, there is no possibility for the musketeers or Raoul to survive.... That is the logic of Dumas and I just can't deny it. (even if my poor little heart has been broken in million pieces with the end of the VdB !!)

So, why am I rewriting the VdB, then ?

Because I think Raoul deserves another chance. For sure his death was necessary... but this death has been written and is happened because of Master Dumas. But even if I'm not a master, I can try to give the character another meaning and another birth in a novel which will follow a different logic... and this logic is actually not the one of History and Louis XIV ^^

So there is "my" Raoul, facing... hehe, who knows ? His ennemy, for sure, because a character needs an ennemy to be a hero ! XD
